R.O.S.E. Informatik GmbH (RIG) was started in Heidenhiem, Germany in 1990 and
incorporated into its present form in 1992 by Dr. Werner Seibold. Dr. Seibold's extensive
experience in the automotive and aerospace industries are embodied in the design
and development of RODON. The roots of today's software system can be traced back
to the early 1980's when he was responsible for Systems Checkout of the European
Spacelab Project to be flown on the NASA Space Shuttle. The daily design changes
rendered traditional checkout software useless. Dr. Seibold investigated alternatives
surfacing under the label of Artificial Intelligence, Expert Systems, Rule-Based
Systems and related technologies and found them inadequate for the task at hand.
His decision to employ Model-Based Reasoning proved to be the correct path. More
than a decade of experience and inputs from leading experts have led to today's RODON.
He coined the acronym R.O.S.E. from the notion of Reasoning Over Systems in their
Entirety. RODON is the Greek word for the flower rose. Since 1992, the company has
grown to include an office and staff in the U.S. Dr. Seibold is the Managing Director
of the Company and Dr. Joseph Gloudeman of Tonka Bay, Minnesota is the Chairman of
the Board. Dr. Gloudeman is the former President and CEO of the MacNeal-Schwendler
Corporation (NASTRAN). The Company is investor-owned. Marketing is currently focused
in Western Europe, North America and Japan.
R.O.S.E Informatik is currently
seeking investors who wish to become part of this growing and dynamic Company.
